What drew you to Cazoo and how has that expectation met reality?
I originally joined the group over three years ago because I could feel the company’s momentum. I didn’t want to miss out on that direction of travel. Fast forward to today, and we are now Cazoo, a bigger brand with an even bigger opportunity to challenge the market. The ambition hasn't just stayed the same, it’s multiplied.
What's our core value that stands out to you?
At Cazoo, I’m most motivated by the Fearless value. To me, being fearless isn’t about being reckless, it’s about having the confidence to challenge the norm, make quick decisions, and test ideas at pace. We are building something that goes against the tradition of the market, and that requires us to ask hard questions every day to find better ways to grow than our competition.
The Power of AutonomyPeople often ask what makes Cazoo great rather than just a place to work. For me, it’s the combination of exceptional people and a high-trust culture. Our leadership sets ambitious goals, but they create the space for us to think differently. As the saying goes, we don't hire smart people to tell them what to do; we hire them so they can tell us what to do.
What My Team is AchievingI’m incredibly proud of what we’re building. In Q1 2026 alone, our SEO, CRM, and Paid Performance teams increased lead volumes by over 60%. But if you asked my team, they wouldn't just point at the stat, they’d talk about the ownership and the complex problems they solved to get there. We move at breakneck speed, and while our biggest challenge is staying disciplined and focused on the right data, that energy is exactly what makes the work rewarding.
My Advice to Potential Candidates
I’ll be honest, this isn't an 'easy' type of business. The pace is high and the expectations are even higher. But for the right person, that’s the draw. You will have real autonomy, the chance to make decisions quickly, and a career growth curve you won't find anywhere else. If you want to have a tangible impact and feel part of something bigger, you’ll fit right in.
